Maine Day 9, 2008

I drew this w/ Photoshop. It is a roadkill.

Touch the Sound: 'Touch the Sound' is a movie by cinematographer and director Thomas Riedelsheimer. It is about the deaf musician and artist Evelyn Glennie.

I also watched 'The Sign of Four' a Sherlock Holmes movie. This scene has got to be a classic!

No Luck

My camera card became corrupt so I couldn't take this picture off of it. It was a girl on crutches trying to navigate her way down the slushy Augusta Maine sidewalks. I asked her what happened. She said her ex-boyfriend shot her in the foot. I guess I'm lucky I haven't been shot. (Please fate, don't be tempted.)

Jeff stands at the corner of Chapel & Court Streets in Augusta Maine. He reads his manuscript (a trade magazine) & smokes a cigarette.

Day 6

Last night after work I walked to the Augusta Maine police station to see if I could identify one of the four that kicked me in the head through a photo-line up. There were six photos. The officer said that it was possible that none of them were suspects, that is what I suspect because I couldn't positively ID any of them.
Never should I say "it can't get any worse," because it will.

Kicked in the Head

I was jumped friday night walking home by 4 teenagers who first almost ran me over. My Nikon D1X is now broke, along with the lens that was on it. Unfortunately getting jumped and kicked in the head is not uncommon to me. My sister says it's because I am always walking alone at night. She might be right. What really upsets me is my broken camera. My camera.

Watched Sherlock Holmes & The Last Vampire, amazing.

Last Day of 2007, Augusta Maine

"In weather like this I try and do my best to help people out in the snow."

Neighbors: Some neighbors relaxing in the snow.

Father Curran Bridge: The Father John J. Curran Bridge is kind of creepy. According to a recent newspaper article he is being accused of sexual abuse, postmortem. And had been accused several times in his life.

Augusta Maine 123107: A view of Augusta Maine from the Father John J. Curran Bridge, Dec. 31, 2007.

Sidewalk Snowblower: A sidewalk snowblower cleans a side of the Father John J. Curran Bridge in Augusta Maine.

But the sidewalk snowblower is needed on Western Avenue on the other side of town. On Western Avenue in Augusta Maine they plow all the snow onto the sidewalk making it impassible without snowshoes. I watched this guy walk the edge of the road (as I once had to, and the next day got snowshoes), an only resort if you are walking with no snowshoes.
The plowing snow onto the sidewalk is so bad, I even had to walk in the road a few times on the way to work, and I was wearing snowshoes.

Hard boiling eggs.

Snowy trail up the embankment to the Kennebec Journal. The path I take to work.
