Leaving DC: Nothing for Free

Yesterday many people came to visit, no one took anything from the free pile I have building up at the room's edge. Rachel took one of my umbrellas. Hatnim left her umbrella. I'm back at square one.

Leaving DC: 1 Week Left

I won't be able to walk to Whole Foods and see people sitting outside. I won't be able to stop at Transformer Gallery anymore.

Leaving DC: 05

I went for a run through Rock Creek and down Massachusetts Ave this morning. I had to walk almost half of the way back. I felt like running, but my lungs hurt. When I got back I heard on the radio is was the worst day yet this year for air pollution. (Can't wait to run in Maine.) Also, I decided it would be a good idea to have a housecooling party, since I never had a housewarming. It will take place around 8pm on Friday. I hope you can make it. If you can't I don't care too much. I have no air-conditioning or beer. But unlike today's heat index of 110 degrees, it's supposed to be in the 70s. And they sell beer across the street, and all up and down the street.

Leaving DC: 04

I went to a local bar The Raven Grill to meet some friends before I leave DC. I am beginning to realize how much I will miss them and this stinking city. However, I am looking forward to living in Augusta, ME., and having visitors. I think this time my heart may actually be broken. Good thing for all that clean air and water up in Maine to get me healthy again! Yes! I can't wait to miss this place!

Leaving DC: 03

Over breakfast at Heller's Bakery this morning Casey and Jabari decided it would be best for me to leave for Augusta, Maine by the Ides of August. (Then Jabari got on a bus to New York City.) If anyone is looking for an awesome apartment to rent by the 15th, I can help you out. My current apartment is in the coolest location, Mt Pleasant, and in an awesome building, The Park Regent. The rent is the best for the area. Plus it's a historic building, and a historic apartment- I lived there.

Leaving DC: 02

I went for a walk with my friends, Jenn and Jabari. We went down to the Diner. I have met so many good friends that have changed my life here, and made it better. I have had so many great opportunities. But, I can't wait to get out of DC, and also to visit again sometime. But to drink clean tap water, and to breathe clean air in Maine will be a dream realized. My collection of sad Irish music brings happiness to my ears once again!

Leaving DC: 01

I am saying good-bye to friends that I've had for so long. It's been 5 year and I'm ready to leave DC, although I love all my friends here. Come and visit me in Hallowell, ME. A short walk from south Augusta!
