Friday Night Visit

I went to Mt Pleasant last night to visit some friends I haven't seen in a while. At Sprengelmeyer's we talked about Afghanistan and Iraq. We talked about the war booty we brought back. I contemplated how much a book I have, written by Osama bin Laden might be worth. Then I went over to Solomon's place and told him some poems, mainly about America. And talked about places that might be good DJing gigs.

Work Release

To save time I didn't brush my teeth today
Instead I spent those minutes drinking coffee on the side stoop
I'm getting better at walking to work
I'm just a nicer person now
I really like planting flowers and trees all over the Capital
Sometimes I feel like an American Legend
Like Johnny Appleseed
I really like to use the trowel that looks like a knife to plant bulbs
like I'm reinserting little hearts in the ground
and my new coveralls make me feel professional
