Gay Pride Parade

I went to the Gay Pride Parade w/ some friends. They thought it would be a good place to pick up girls. I didn't, and I explained why using my "If-you-go-to-a-Swedish-restaurant-you-don't-order-Hawaiian-food" analogy. I was right. But as Rob said, "I love me a parade!"

Meat Market Gallery Performance Week Auction

Meat Market Gallery is currently holding a silent auction to raise money for Performance Week. I caught the opening on the walk back from the public pool. Some of the pieces are starting their bids so cheap I was able to think about bidding. And then decided I would stick w/ the free beer. I even made a commercial for National Bohemian!

Group Trip: RFK

It was the first game any of us had attended this year. For a couple, their first Major League Baseball game ever. Pre-gaming, trying to get people to go, listening to the first couple innings on the cab ride there, meeting our friends at the ticket gate, and screaming blood- that lead the National to defeat the Pirates 6-5 in 10, I mean 9 innings. "I smell chipped ham, oh, it's just a bunch of Yunzers!"

Memorial Day Weekend: Leaving Town

Before leaving town we ate a slice at Villa Maria w/ Daniel, diehard Yankee's fan and Katie and Maggie's long-time neighbor. The traffic was light and the trip back to DC went smoother than could be expected.

Memorial Day Weekend: Pelham Parade & Ceremony

Norman Rockwell was over in the corner somewhere painting when we arrived at the Pelham Memorial Day Parde. It was very nice of the Pelham Mafia (pictured) to allow the street closing for the parade.

Memorial Day Weekend: Sunday Events

Sunday Maggie took me to one of her favorite parks in Pelham, along Long Island Sound. Then we went to Katie's to make cookies and smoothies. We visited Mary. Had a Memorial Day Weekend Cookout. And went to an Irish section of the Bronx to listen to live music. (I never knew there was such a place.) Lastly, we went to Katie's friend Manuelo's house and danced to some music I often hear coming from cars and pick-up trucks on Mt. Pleasant Road. It was great. ("Thanks for the forecast.")
